Kennesaw, Geogia
In October of 2020, we received an emergency call from a residence in Kennesaw. Two massive pine trees has been uprooted and blown directly into the home during a ferocious storm. The first tree struck the front porch awakening the family at 2:00 in the morning, leaving them with a short warning before the impact of the second tree. Due to the homeowner’s quick thinking he was able to get his family to a safe place in the home before the second tree caused severe structural damage to the home. If the family had not gathered and relocated when they did, there could have been some serious injuries that may have occurred. The best part about this story is that the family survived the incident with no injuries, but having a tree fall on your home can bring feelings of uncertainty and panic for the wellbeing of your home.
One of the first calls the homeowner made was to Modern Legacy. Our team sprang out of bed, we are passionate about helping out fellow Georgians in times of crisis and need. We traveled to Kennesaw in the early morning and while it was dark – we were able to begin the repair and removal process for the family as well as ensure that no further damage would occur due to this incident. We were happy to help bring some peace of mind to this Kennesaw family, but we were more happy that everyone walked away from this situation without being injured!
Alpharetta, Geogia
2020 has been a hard year for everyone – especially with many major storms ripping through the metro Atlanta area. We received a call from a homeowner in Alpharetta who asked us to come out for emergency service needs. While this home was missed by an initial fallen tree, that tree had caused a chain reaction which resulted in a tree causing massive structural damage to the home and the roof. Our team was amazed to to see that everyone walked away unharmed, the tree made it’s impact just left of the bed where the Homeowner and his wife were sleeping. The wife and children in this family have auto-immune disorders, so between COVID-19 and other outside elements our team knew we had to act fast.
Modern Legacy was able to spring into action and head to Alpharetta immediately. We began the process of removal, repair and installing preventative maintenance to discourage any new damage. This family reached out to Modern Legacy in their time of need, and we are ecstatic that we were able to bring them some peace of mind in their time of crisis.
Covington, Geogia
In early 2020 our team received a call from a gentleman in Covington, GA about one of his rental properties. Due to a tornado ripping through Covington – this home had been absolutely demolished by a tree. We were amazed to hear that none of the tenants were harmed during the event, we were also amazing at the shear amount of destruction that occurred on this property. The Modern Legacy team aims to help those in need no matter how challenging the scenario may be – and we knew we would have our hands full with this property.
Over the course of four months our team worked diligently to repair the property. Our team actually rebuilt the entire structure completely and allowed this rental home to see new tenants once again.
